Book an assessment…
Based in the centre of Exeter at The Barefoot Physio, a trained Mummy MOT Practitioner I believe all women should have access to postnatal/ postpartum assessment and progressive rehabilitation to achieve their goals. Be that getting back to pilates classes, swimming, CrossFit or just running around after your little ones with confidence. The mummy MOT is a comprehensive assessment for women who have delivered vaginally or abdominally (c-section). If you’re 8 weeks postpartum or 8 years this is the assessment where you get to ask the questions and get the answers that matter to you.
I also offer general Womens health appointments;
For women experiencing pregnancy related issues like PGP, back pain or leakage on sneezing or coughing.
For women experiencing Pelvic Organ Prolapse.
For women experiencing pelvic pain.
For women experiencing peri menopause or menopause symptoms. Many women can experience side effects including pelvic floor dysfunction, poor sleep, general aches and pains and a shift in mood. We are able to assess and appropriately treat these side effects and work with ladies to achieve their goals.
I lead small group classes for ladies 8 weeks postnatal following your GP checkup, your baby is welcome to attend. The next Beginners Postnatal Pilates course runs for a block of 6 weeks always on Thursday. Starting on the 9th January 1000-1045 with the last date being the 13th February, at Exton Village Hall, Station Road, Exton, Exeter, EX3 0PS.
There’s ample free parking next to the venue in the church car park.
We Work with the breath and gentile movement to build your foundations in strength, flexibility and functional movement. So often we rush back to exercise without the basics in place first, this is the time to focus on rehabilitation and getting strong for life as a mother. The 6 week block is charged at £72 which along with filling in a health screen is payable prior to the start of the course. To book your place click the button below.
Let’s start getting stronger!
Beginners Postnatal Pilates Classes
Intermediate Postnatal Pilates Classes
These classes follow directly after the beginner course and are aimed at mamas who are feeling a little more confident in their practice. You know how the pelvic floor works now and the importance of the breath so we can get going with building strength in poses that challenge you. Classes are still kept small as a maximum of 10 to allow for 1:1 support if required. These follow on classes can only be completed by ladies who have completed the Postnatal Pilates Beginners course, or have some experience of pilates postnatally. Your baby is welcome to attend with you but unfortunately we can not accommodate for babies that are mobile. Running at Exton Village Hall, Station Road, Exton, Exeter, EX3 0PS, the course runs on a Thursday for a block of 6 weeks.
There’s ample free parking next to the venue in the church car park. I'm looking forward to seeing you again and building more strength and stability!
